Selling Out and The Future Of This Site

Submitted by digitalfilmmaker on July 6, 2006 - 2:38am.

There's been a lot of guff about 'selling out' over the 13 second advertisement in this week's episode.

13 seconds out of almost 5 minutes.

Or 4.5% of the total episode.

That's versus the 27% of advertising on a TV show. And we put it at the end unlike those annoying preroll video ads on other video sites.

New Episode Soonish, Free T-Shirts and Stickers in SF

Submitted by digitalfilmmaker on June 9, 2006 - 12:12am.

Stop by the San Francisco Apple Store tomorrow 6/9. I guess I'm going to be on TWiT with Leo and the Gang.

I've got a few Ask A Ninja T-Shirts to give away and a ton of stickers.

I'll give FREE t-shirts to the first ten people wearing a ninja mask!

Also we're premiering our new podcast, Hope Is Emo, this Sunday at VloggerCon. It's from the Douglas and Kent and Crista Flanagan of MADtv. (The Hope Is Emo site should go live later this weekend).

I've been working on Question 22, and hopefully it'll post sometime this weekend.

Also don't forget Douglas is staying here in LA to teach at the LA Comedy festival. There might be a seat or two open.

And I just found out Douglas is totally lame -- he doesn't know how to add friends to his myspace page. This is the guy who is the co-creator of AskANinja, for Pete's sake. Take pity on him here.

New Eps and Events

Submitted by digitalfilmmaker on May 30, 2006 - 9:10am.

Question 21 "Revolution Cubed" should post in a few hours.

Also I wanted to give you a heads up on a few upcoming appearances by Douglas and me.

First is the Los Angeles Comedy Festival. Douglas will be teaching a workshop on Podcasting and Improvisation on June 10. More info here.

And I will be schmoozing and talking about Characters and Podcasting and introducing a new podcast from Beatbox Giant at VloggerCon in San Franciso on June 11.

We'll also be showing our vids and sponsoring the CosPlay competition at this year's A-Kon in Dallas, June 9-11.

Basically, everything we've ever done is being done on that weekend.

Okay, back to the editing.
