Illegalities within the Pilsbury Complex

As I was pondrering over the fate of the universe and why PBS Kids was out to get me, I decided to watch some comedy for a change. As I was doing so, the man presenting it made a very good point: we have legalized the wrong kind of artificial high, meaning that Alchohol is legal and shouldn't, and pot is illegal and shouldn't. Well, lets face it, you get into a car with a drunk driver and the chances are he'll have run over 3 pedestrians, 2 dogs, and a variaty of old women by the time you get home. But get into the car with someone on pot, and the first thing he does is to say "Okay, the emergency brake is off". As I said, interesting.

After that got boring (well, I broke the tv. Same difference) I decided to pursue my online expedition and try not to get killed by Big Bird's third cousin. 3 minutes later, and one trip to the graveyard, I went for a stroll. It was then I realized where I was. Stuck in the middle of an old country, familiar yet completely different, and wondering whether I was going to ever get another chance to visit my old friends again. And then I was hit by a truck. Luckily, it was going 3MPH, and all I got was a bit of oil on my shirt, but I took the hint, swore at the driver (apparantly its good manners to swear at a truck driver before you leave; they've always done it to me) and ran back inside.

It was there I was greeted by the newest member of my entourage of dogs, some sort of short Corgie/Retriever cross by the name of Tao. Nice dog. Except for the whole "dammit I want your arm" complex.

Anyway, I'm in Victoria right now, vacationing and out-nerding myself as I type (I suppose "King of the Nerds" is a title one does not easily lose, eh?). I'm going back to Calgary in a couple of days, and I think I'll have another stab at those damned condors for now.

So, I guess this is supposed to be my intro to the website. Well, isn't this lovely. I guess as an official No0b, I'm just asking to be 'discovered'. Lucky me! Well, I highly doubt anyone will ever read this, so here-goes:

I have once again managed to lie my way out of a situation. You see, I was chewing gum in class and got sent a refferal (lunch duty - 1 week). Well, I got caught by a coach and actually went and served it for a day. Then I purposly stopped going. Well, I got caught at that too. I got a note today about some I.S.S. thing. Well, Coach Ryan loves me, so I went and found him. I coaxed him into letting me off a bit. Then I worked down some other coaches. My official story is that I 'didn't know'. As if! But they bought it and so I only have to serve 2 days. Quite simple really. My lying is becoming something even I am in awe of. As a kid, I was very good at faking it, but now I'm working for a much tougher audience. My LJ has temporarily been killed, so welcome to my latest blog. I hope you make it out alive.

The Start of the Blog

I have no idea what's going on. I just like the Ask a Ninja shows and now I suddenly get a blog for signing up? Nice! At least, I think it's nice. I might just be confused of what is going on. Anyways, hopefully this blog will be less ill-fated then my previous two which died after, say, five posts.

First Personal Blog In A While

The last two months have been insane.

It all started in January when I received an email from the iTunes music store saying that they wanted to feature the Ninja on the store.

This was a day after I submitted the feed to them and registered askaninja.com. We didn't even have the site logo ready -- which was a problem Apple needed a logo for us to be featured.

So I raced home from my parents house and I whipped up the logo that we're all familiar with.

Ever since then things have been different.

Sure I'm still broke, but things that were hard before, had suddenly become easy.

Eh, I don't want to get into a tortured and self-involved rant here. But let's just say I'm having a lot of fun working with Douglas and the Ninja to produce these episodes.

And that the future holds some really cool things for this site, the Ninja, and the world of podcasting.
